Set in the hills of Asheville, The Douglas Ellington House was the backdrop for this editorial with Lacey and Dan — a place full of history, artistry, and quiet character. With its rich textures, layered architecture, and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the home offered a setting that felt grounded and expressive.
We designed the shoot to complement the space rather than compete with it. The details were simple, intentional, and inspired by the house itself. Lacey and Dan brought an ease and sincerity to the session, allowing each moment to feel honest and connected.
Every part of the property told its own story. From the stacked stone and arched doorways to the way light moved through the trees, the house offered a sense of place that shaped the tone of the entire shoot. The styling echoed that same feeling — natural, textural, and thoughtful.
This shoot was about working with what’s already there and allowing the environment, the couple, and the design to speak together in quiet harmony.
