Tucked beneath the trees and overlooking the sea, Vendela and Philip’s wedding at The Martin Johnson House in La Jolla was a celebration rooted in nature, joy, and cultural tradition. Drawing inspiration from Swedish Midsummer, the design embraced florals, color, and meaningful moments to create a day that felt whimsical yet deeply grounded.
Set among towering pines with sweeping views of the Pacific, the venue felt like a hidden garden perched above the coast. The natural textures and golden coastal light brought a quiet sense of romance that paired beautifully with the couple’s vision for a celebration centered on beauty, connection, and seasonal inspiration.
Florals were the heart of the design and the arrangements were full of texture and movement, with layers of color that added warmth and vibrance without overwhelming the space. Every bloom felt like a small nod to the season and the spirit of celebration.
As the sun began to set, guests gathered beneath string lights to dine, toast, and dance. Every detail – from the table settings to the flow of the evening – was curated to foster connection and ease. Vendela and Philip’s wedding felt like an invitation to slow down and savor, a day that honored heritage and love with beauty and joy at its center.
